Agribusiness expert David Lock joins Purple

We’re excited to announce the addition of agribusiness specialist David Lock to the Purple team.

David has extensive experience in a variety of executive and director roles and was most recently the managing director and CEO of ASX-listed fishing and seafood distribution company Mareterram Limited.

Prior to that, he was for 12 years the managing director of privately owned agribusiness company Craig Mostyn Group, which has livestock, rendering and seafood processing plants in WA, Victoria and Tasmania. During the past decade he has served as chairman of Australian Pork Limited, the WA Meat Industry Authority and the Food Industry Association of WA.

David is currently the chairman of primary producer Odeum Produce and Sea Harvest Australia (formerly Mareterram), and a non-executive director of Water Corporation and CBH, whose board audit and risk committees he chairs. He is also a non-executive director of the London-based Marine Stewardship Council.

Purple Managing Director Warrick Hazeldine said David would provide specialist advice to clients operating in agribusiness.

“I’m delighted that David has decided to join the Purple team – he brings decades of experience in a sector that is vital to WA’s economy,” he said.

“David’s knowledge and insights will be invaluable to our clients operating in the agribusiness sector, with his thorough understanding of food production, processing, value-adding and marketing.

“David’s strategic advice will ensure our clients are best-placed to succeed in a rapidly changing landscape.”

David is excited to join Purple.

“I’m very much looking forward to being part of that team and sharing my knowledge with clients and colleagues,” he said.
