Purple is delighted to once again be named an Employer of Choice in The Australian Business Awards 2023.

The award recognizes organisations that “develop workplaces that maximise the full potential of their people through established policies and practices, demonstrating effective employee recruitment, engagement and retention”.

For Purple, the award demonstrates an ongoing commitment to developing and encouraging its people – a hallmark of its culture for 20 years since the company was established in 2004.

Purple managing director, Annette Ellis said the whole team was incredibly proud to have been recognised for this continuing commitment.

“We devote considerable effort to developing a culture that makes Purple a great place to work,” she said.

“This has been part of our mantra from the outset and is even more critical in our current context of rapidly changing technology, communications complexity and stakeholder expectations.”

Purple is Western Australia’s leading strategic communications firm, with its reason for being “To start and shape conversations that matter” motivating a team of more than 40 communications experts to solve complex communications challenges for clients in Australia and around the world.

Attracting and retaining the very best talent in its industry is critical to its success, so investing in a workplace culture that values and supports its people is a strategic priority. As a result, culture is a subject that features prominently in Purple’s board and executive conversations and in its extensive engagement with its highly regarded and high-performing team.

So too is its wide-ranging employee value proposition featuring a mix of incentives – from financial reward and recognition to leading workplace flexibility, and personal wellbeing and growth enablers.

“As an employer we have a fairly unique focus on people, their wellness, and their personal priorities,” Ms Ellis said.

“We’ve demonstrated an ability to change with the times. What won’t change is our commitment to investing in our people – and supporting them to do their very best work in a professional, rewarding, fun and family-friendly environment.”
