Purple have been announced a winner in the Asia-Pacific SABRE Awards for the work we’ve done with Hyzon Motors, a global supplier of hydrogen-fuel- cell-powered commercial vehicles.

Established by leading international public relations expert, Paul Holmes, the Asia-Pacific SABRE Awards recognise superior achievement in brand, reputation and engagement.

The award judges said they would be recognising bold, creative and brave communicationsthings which have been the hallmark of our work with Hyzon Motors.

In August 2020, Hyzon Motors hired Purple in anticipation of speeding up the deployment of its vehicles around the world and preparing for a major transformation – a listing on the NASDAQ.  Purple built the Hyzon Motors story and brand, helping commercialise almost two decades of hydrogen technology development in preparation for the listing.

Through a digital and social- media-first approach, media strategy and engagement, a lightning- quick website build, and innovative digital solutions in an international pandemic, we helped create value and impact for a brand with purpose.

Hyzon Motors Account Manager, Fraser Beattie said that he’s thrilled Purple won the award.

“I am overjoyed that Purple have been recognised for the extensive efforts that went in to bringing a once unknown and quiet achiever in the hydrogen technology sector to the world stage,” Fraser said.

“Hyzon’s core value of decarbonisation is one that is starting to gain serious momentum across industries, so to have received this award is validation that phrases like ‘hydrogen’ and ‘renewable technologies’ are more than just buzzwords; they are the future, and we are excited to be a part of that global energy transition.”

Purple have been finalists at the SABRE Awards for the past five years and winners in 2015 and 2019.
