We delivered a combination of bespoke and detailed engagement through face-to-face consultation and negotiation with the Whadjuk Working Party, local resident groups, local governments, regulators, neighbouring enterprises, institutions and special interest groups.
Cannings Purple provides a secretariat function to the WA IPA and Special Counsel Richard Harris chairs the Association. We coordinate meetings, provide strategic media and government engagement advice, prepare submissions to government, produce all communications collateral and manage the organisation’s website.
The campaign embraced a range of government and community engagement methods such as social media, digital advertising, targeted meetings, briefings and participation in political party fundraising events.
Using glass as the theme, we looked at making a visual brand that played with light and transparency. We investigated various methods of doing this, and then developed a brand based on a single pane of glass.
Cannings Purple developed an e-commerce platform and holistic digital strategy to launch the new Cole Supplies brand and promote the expansion of its product offering.

We worked closely with management to develop a brand name that was synonymous with the company’s activities and aspirations. The name is derived from a Latin term for copper and was proposed by one of the company’s team.
