Promotions for emerging Cannings Purple talent

We’re pleased to announce promotions for two of Cannings Purple’s emerging talents – Sarah-Jane Dabarera and Emily Coates.

Both have been promoted to be Senior Consultants.

Sarah-Jane, who completed an IAP2 International Certificate in Public Participation last year, is a key member of Cannings Purple’s recently-launched Stakeholder Engagement team.

She originally joined Cannings Purple as media officer in 2017, before progressing to be the account services co-ordinator of our busy Design and Digital team, and then becoming a consultant earlier this year.

Stakeholder Engagement Director Charlie Wilson-Clark said Sarah-Jane’s skills, enthusiasm and dedication meant her promotion was well-deserved.

“SJ, as we all know her, is an integral member of our Stakeholder Engagement team,” she said.

“She constantly strives to expand her knowledge of and skills in the engagement space and the fact she’s been selected as a speaker for the IAP2 Australasia Conference in Sydney next month is testament to SJ’s growing reputation.

“With her can-do attitude and positive nature, SJ excels at delivering impact and results for our clients.”

Emily joined Cannings Purple’s Corporate Affairs team in mid-2018 and has since proven herself to be a versatile and important contributor across a range of clients.

Corporate Affairs Director Fran Lawrence praised Emily’s strong writing skills and ability to create and manage effective communication strategies.

“Emily has an eye for the production of quality and engaging content across a variety of platforms,” she said.

“Her digital skills and awareness of the ever-changing communications landscape mean she is perfectly placed to deliver the kinds of solutions our clients need.

“Emily’s willingness to learn new skills and be involved in any task have helped make her a key member of our team. I’m delighted to announce this promotion.”

The promotions cap a big month for Cannings Purple, in which we were named the Asia Pacific Corporate/Financial Consultancy of the Year at the SABRE Awards in Singapore and also named one of four finalists in that category for the global SABRE Awards.

The global Corporate/Financial Consultancy of the Year will be named in late October in Washington, DC.
