Gerard brings experience covering the mining and resources sector to Cannings Purple’s Investor Relations team – a background that equips him to contribute to merger and acquisition work, media liaison activities and our regular Investor Insights publications.

Prior to joining Cannings Purple, Gerard was a journalist at the Australian Mining Review and the Australian Oil and Gas Review where he covered mining and energy, as well as automation and technology. He was instrumental in launching an online news service to give the publications digital presence and build social media followings. Prior to the Australian Mining Review, Gerard was a copyeditor at the Architect magazine.

Out of work, Gerard enjoys all things outdoors. Whether it’s rock climbing, hiking, surfing or sailing, most weekends he’ll be out at a crag on the water enjoying the great outdoors.
