The 268 has won a Gold Quill Award.

We’re delighted to announce that our thought leadership and content hub, the 268.com.au, has been recognised with a prestigious Gold Quill Award by the International Association of Business Communicators.

It’s the first time a communications consultancy in WA has been recognised at the Gold Quill Awards.

Purple Managing Director Warrick Hazeldine said he was delighted to see The 268 being celebrated on the international stage with a Gold Quill Award of Merit.

“We are very proud of The 268 – and very proud to see it recognised like this,” Mr Hazeldine said.

“Our thought leadership and content hub showcases what we strive to do every day at Purple on behalf of our valued clients: to start and shape conversations that matter.

“The 268’s continued growth is a testament to the commitment show by our whole team in creating and promoting diverse and quality content that highlights key trends in the communications world, across a wide range of industries.”

First launched in April 2018, The 268 is managed by Purple’s Content Editor Simon White, a former editor of thewest.com.au and WAToday.

The site was shortlisted for an Asia Pacific SABRE Award for branded content last year and continues to expand its audience, with traffic for the first 100 days of 2020 up more than 17 per cent on the same period last year.

Evaluators of the Gold Quill Awards praised The 268’s “well-targeted, insightful and innovative” approach and were particularly impressed by the engaging design and functionality of the hub.

The 268 was designed and developed in-house by Art Director Adam Elovalis and Senior Consultant Jack Geerssen.

“The 268 content hub is a unique and effective approach to meeting the purpose of the project [promoting Purple’s expertise and capabilities],” the Gold Quill Award citation reads.

“The hub is professionally put together, easy to navigate and has attention-grabbing images drawing visitors in to read the content.”

The Gold Quill is the second major international award win for Purple in the past seven months.

In September 2019 Purple was recognised as the Asia Pacific Corporate/Financial Consultancy of the Year at the SABRE Awards and named as one of four global finalists in that category.

The 2020 IABC Gold Quill Awards will be presented at IABC’s Virtual World Conference, to be held 14-17 June 2020. More information on the World Conference is available at: https://wc.iabc.com/
